The Air Training Corps (ATC) is a part of the
Air Cadet Organisation (ACO)
which also includes Royal Air Force (RAF) sections of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
The various cadet forces;
- Air Training Corps (ATC)
- Army Cadet Force (ACF)
- Combined Cadet Force (CCF)
- Sea Cadet Corps (SCC)
all ultimately report into the UK
Ministry
of Defence (MoD)
Directorate of Reserve Forces and Cadets (DRFC)
.
Although the Air Training Corps (ATC), via the Air Cadets Organisation (ACO), link into the UK MoD, each Air Training Corps (ATC) Squadron is controlled by a local
Civilian Management Committee often made up of parents of cadets plus maybe local school Head Teachers, Police or Council members. This ensures each Squadron is managed and controlled locally and not by the MoD, RAF or any other body.
More information about the roles & responsibilities of an ATC Squadron Civilian Management Committee can be found under the
Civilian Committee link on the navigation bar above.
